The ruins of St Paul's Church crown a hill above Malacca in this 2008 photograph. Built by the Portuguese in 1521 and later used by the Dutch as a burial ground, the roofless church is associated with the body of St. Francis Xavier, briefly interred there before being moved to Goa.
