Dasturxonchi madrasasi 04
2024 Kokand, Uzbekistan
Built in 1833 as a boys' school in Kokand, former capital of the Kokand Khanate, the Dasturkhanchi Madrasa now trains girls in traditional embroidery. It survives as one of the city's reminders of its nineteenth-century role as a regional center of learning.
