Designed by architect E. Dubrovin and completed in 1883, Tashkent's Men's Gymnasium was originally a single-story schoolhouse before a second floor was added in the 1930s. It later housed Central Asian University and an engineering institute before becoming today's Tashkent State Juridical Institute.
