The domed Tomb of the Mahdi in Omdurman, Sudan, built in 1885 to honor Muhammad Ahmad, the religious leader who led the Mahdist uprising against Anglo-Egyptian rule. It remains one of Sudan's most recognizable landmarks. Photographed in 2013.
