1904 Lima, Peru
Lima's cathedral, seat of the Archdiocese of Lima on the city's Plaza Mayor, is shown in this 1904 photograph. Construction on the site began in the sixteenth century under Spanish colonial rule, and the building remained a focal point of the Peruvian capital into the twentieth century.
