Ruwanwelisaya is a great white stupa in Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka's ancient capitals, traditionally attributed to King Dutugemunu in the 2nd century BCE. It remains one of the most venerated Buddhist monuments on the island and part of the Anuradhapura UNESCO World Heritage Site.
