2013 Saint-Louis, Senegal
The Faidherbe Bridge, a wrought-iron span across the Senegal River dating to the late nineteenth century, seen here from Quai Roume in Saint-Louis. Named for colonial governor Louis Faidherbe, it long served as the main link between the historic island city and the mainland.
