Seema Malaka, a Buddhist temple built on stilts over Beira Lake in the heart of Colombo, is pictured here in 2018. Designed by Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, it serves as an ordination hall for monks and remains one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.
