This 2009 photograph shows the Lion of Judah statue in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The bronze lion, a traditional symbol of the Ethiopian monarchy, was erected in 1930 to mark the coronation of Emperor Haile Selassie I and remains a well-known landmark of the capital.
