The Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds, in Jaipur, India, photographed in February 2015. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, its pink sandstone facade with hundreds of small windows was designed to let royal women observe street life while remaining unseen.
