2018 Zanzibar, Tanzania
The ornately carved wooden entrance to a caravanserai in Stone Town, Zanzibar, its brass-studded doors set beneath a carved plaque identifying it as a charitable caravanserai endowed by Khoji Essaji Ramjee of Cutch in December 1888 for the use of Khoja travellers. A woman in a headscarf steps through the doorway.
