The Great Cave of Yangon

Built in 1952 at the Kaba Aye Pagoda complex, the Maha Pasana Guha, or Great Cave, was constructed to host the Sixth Buddhist Council of 1954-1956 and modeled on the cave used for the First Buddhist Council in India. Photographed in Yangon in 2020.
