A 2012 view from Mount Srđ, the hill rising above Dubrovnik's old town, long reached by cable car and used as a lookout over the city and the Adriatic Sea. A fortress on the summit, Fort Imperial, dates to the Napoleonic era and later saw fighting during the 1991 siege of Dubrovnik.
