Okomfo Anokye Sword Shrine (Kumasi, Ghana 2019)

According to Ashanti oral tradition, this sword in Kumasi was planted in the ground by the priest Okomfo Anokye, who co-founded the Ashanti Kingdom in the late 17th century. The site, near the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, remains a place of local historical significance, seen here in 2019.
