Бухара, мечеть Магоки Аттори
2025 Bukhara, Uzbekistan
The Maghoki-Attori Mosque in Bukhara is considered one of the oldest surviving mosques in Central Asia, with foundations predating the Mongol invasions and a portal added during the Timurid period. Its name, meaning roughly 'pit of the perfume sellers,' refers to its location below the level of the surrounding street in a former marketplace.
