The Sri Dalada Maligawa, or Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, stands in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Built in the royal palace complex of the former Kandyan kingdom, the temple houses a relic believed to be a tooth of the Buddha and remains one of the island's most venerated Buddhist shrines.
