Thuparama, one of the oldest stupas in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka, said to enshrine a relic of the Buddha and dating back to the 3rd century BCE. Rows of ancient stone columns that once supported a roof over the dagoba still stand around its base, photographed here in 2018.
