This madrasa in Tashkent's old city was funded around 1850 by the wealthy townsman Abdulkasim, for whom it is named, and expanded with a second floor in 1864. Within its walls, the 1865 peace agreement between Tashkent and Russian general Chernyaev is said to have been signed.
