Самарканд. Русско-Китайский банк, большой зал 07
2024 Samarkand, Uzbekistan
Erected in 1896, this Samarkand building once housed the local branch of the Russo-Chinese Bank, a St. Petersburg-based institution with outposts stretching from Paris to Harbin. Reorganized as the Russo-Asiatic Bank in 1910, it remains one of the city's most distinctive examples of Tsarist-era classical architecture.
