The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a large granite monument in central Hanoi built to house the remains of Ho Chi Minh following his death in 1969. It stands on Ba Dinh Square, the site where Ho Chi Minh read Vietnam's Declaration of Independence in 1945.
