CatedraldeArequipa 01
2016 Arequipa, Peru
The Cathedral of Arequipa faces the city's Plaza de Armas and was rebuilt in its present neoclassical form after earlier structures were damaged by earthquakes and fire. Built largely from white volcanic sillar stone, it is one of the landmarks that gave Arequipa its nickname, the White City.
