Koutoubia Mosque at Dusk
2013 Marrakech, Morocco
The minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque rises over Marrakech at dusk in this 2013 photograph. Built in the twelfth century under the Almohad dynasty, the mosque's minaret became a model for other towers across North Africa and Spain.
