Fasil Ghebbi, the royal enclosure in Gondar, Ethiopia, built mainly under Emperor Fasilidas in the seventeenth century as the seat of Ethiopia's imperial court. Its stone castles combine indigenous Ethiopian building traditions with Portuguese, Arab, and Indian influences. Photographed in 2011.
