The Bath of Fasilidas near Gondar, Ethiopia, a walled stone pool associated with the seventeenth-century emperor Fasilidas. Though built as part of the royal complex, the bath is best known today for its role in the annual Timkat festival, when it is filled with water for ceremonial blessing. Image from 2011.
